New for '26: Mermaid Motel joins the lineup.

No vacancy for cold feet. A teal so loud it makes puddles jealous, and waterproof enough that you could, in theory, check in to one.

Cinch it. Snow stays out.

The tall one goes on without laces: pull it on and cinch the cuff. The cinch lock holds it, so there's nothing to tie, and the snow stays out. Step on the heel tab to step out. The lugged rubber outsole grips on ice and slush.

Storm day to mud season.

  2. Tue-8°FSnowblower, round two.
  3. Wed9°FBarn chores in a whiteout.
  4. Thu31°FIce on the barn steps.

Rated to -25°F and comfortable up to about +50°F. The foam, the removable liner and the cinch cuff work as one comfort control system.

Your normal size. Check your calf.

A tall boot gets two questions: what size, and will my calves fit. Both answers, plus the swap.

  1. Order your normal shoe size. The one you were before a new brand told you otherwise. Between sizes? Size down: going up is where heel slip comes from. US Women 5 to 13. US Men 4 to 14/15.
  2. Calves? Check the cuff.It gets roomier as the size goes up: about 19 inches around at M4/W5, 20 at M9/W10, 21.4 at M14/15, and the draw-cord cinches it down from there. Bigger calves than that? The Lo Rider stops lower on the leg.
  3. Called it wrong? Swap it.Exchanges are free for 30 days. Try them on indoors all you like. Once they've been worn outside, they can't come back.

What's new?

Rebuilt from the inside out. On a shaft this tall, the softer cuff is the change your shins notice first.

  • Refined design

Sharper look. The toe cap sits flush now, and the cuff is softer on your shins.

  • Next-gen EVA

We taught the foam to stay loose when it's freezing. Now they walk like boots, not bricks. Warmer, too.

  • Removable liner, improved

The liner leveled up. Pull it out, wash it, let it dry, tuck it back in. It dries quickly.

  • Liner retention tab

A little tab that keeps your liner home. You step out, it stays put.

  • Support and cushioning

More boot under your feet where it counts. Your arches noticed.

Three people. One tall boot.

My daughter and I run a horse training business in northern Michigan. Lots of snow, frigid temps and long days outside. We both finally found the best boot!

Cindy, horse trainer, northern Michigan

Wore them for 6+ hours standing in the snow and cold at a skijoring event and I was one of the few not complaining about cold feet!

Melissa, 6+ hours at a skijoring event

These boots arrived just in time for piles of lake effect snow to start falling in Oswego county NY… my feet were comfy, warm, and dry the whole time!

Common questions

The stuff people actually email us about.

What size should I order?

+

Start with your normal shoe size, the one you think you are before a new brand tells you otherwise. Want a second opinion? Stand on a piece of paper with your heel against a wall, mark the tip of your longest toe, measure the distance in inches, and match that to our . Our boots are unisex sized: the chart shows men's and women's columns side by side because the same physical boot fits both. If you fall between sizes, see the half-size question below.

Do they run small or big?

+

True to size. Order your normal shoe size. Between sizes? Size down. If your closet can't agree on what size you are, measure your foot (see above) and let the chart break the tie.

I'm between sizes. Up or down?

+

Size down. Our liner is built thick and breaks in after a few wears, so a snug-not-squished fit out of the box settles to just-right. Going up is where too much heel slip comes from: if you can't walk normally once they've settled in, you went a step too big. Order the smaller of the two, and exchange free within 30 days if it's not quite right.

Do they fit wide feet?

+

The EVA shell doesn't compress around the sides the way leather does. We're still gathering wide-foot feedback on this season's boots, so if yours turn out snug, exchanges are free for 30 days.

Will they fit wide calves?

+

The Hi Flyer's cuff cinches with a draw-cord, and it gets roomier as the size goes up: about 19 inches around at M4/W5, 20 at M9/W10, 21.4 at M14/15. Pick your size and open Specs by size to see yours. If your calf runs bigger than that, the Lo Rider stops lower on the leg. Email hello@loonr.com with a measurement and we'll confirm.

Are they stiff to walk in?

+

No. We redesigned the EVA to flex in the cold, so the boots walk like boots instead of like blocks.

The details

The Loon'r Hi Flyer is the tallest boot in the lineup. Slip-on shell, removable liner, rated to -25°F. Built for the muddy parking lot, the school drop-off in a slush storm, the walk your dog wants to take you on.

The Yuckproof Guarantee

Caring for your boots

Spray the EVA with the garden hose. The liner washes on gentle and hangs to dry; a fan speeds it up.

Keep the shell away from heat.

Don't stage your boots on the front step in July sun for the gram (the color holds up but UV is not their friend).

Born in a muddy parking lot.

Loon'r boots in a muddy parking lot puddle between snowbanks

    March 2024, Silverton, Colorado

Mud season at its finest. Dogs, gear, late nights, and the unfussy winter boots we'd picked up on a trip to Japan, which quietly became the MVPs of the whole week. Light, warm, waterproof, no fuss. The boots that handled deep snow at noon and a muddy parking lot at midnight without missing a beat.

So we made our own. The Hi Flyer is the tall one, built for the conditions that made us obsessed in the first place.

    Keep a spare liner.

    Wet day, dry liner.

Pull the damp one, drop in the spare and head back out while the first one airs out.

    Washes easy.

Gentle cycle, then hang it to dry. A fan speeds it up.

    Same boot, fresh inside.

The shell keeps going. The liner gets a refresh.

    Give boring the boot.

The dog's third walk. The puddle dare. The porch hang that runs late. Slip them on and the answer is yes.

Stand on a piece of paper, heel against a wall. Mark the tip of your longest toe, then measure heel to mark. Match that number to the chart. Our boots are unisex, so the M and W labels are the same boot with different numbers. Between sizes or right on a line? Size down.

Snug is good. The liner breaks in after a few wears, so a snug-not-squished fit out of the box settles to just-right. And measure at the end of the day, when your feet are at their biggest.
